Oh, hey there!
I’m Tay, a multimedia designer transitioning into a UX career, bringing a strong foundation in both creative execution and strategic thinking. My background spans video production and digital design work for non-profits, tech giants, and higher education, where I’ve collaborated across teams to turn complex ideas into clear, engaging stories.
I hold a Master’s degree in Strategic Communication and recently completed DesignLab’s UX Academy, where I deepened my skills in user research, interaction design, and usability testing. I come to UX with a holistic design mindset, always grounded in user needs, and I’m comfortable moving between big-picture strategy and hands-on craft.
My design philosophy is simple: empathize deeply with the end user and design solutions that truly serve them. I believe good design is accessible, inclusive, and thoughtful–balancing usability with clarity, intention, and care.
Outside of design, I love exploring the world (most recently Mexico City) 🇿🇦🇯🇵🇲🇽🇪🇸🇳🇿, practicing Japanese (and fighting for my life learning the kana コンビニ), obsessing over my dog 🐕, and crocheting ✨masterpieces✨.
