VIDEO PRODUCTION
Video (or film if you’re fancy) is the most powerful form of storytelling, because it is baked out of a bunch of other delicious ingredients. And I want to bake everyone their favorite flavor. From big tech companies like Microsoft and AWS, to schools, nonprofits and small businesses, below you’ll find a curation of my work in freelance, agency, and in-house roles.
In-House Creative at HPU
Every department wants a video. Which is great, because video is great! The trick is being able to turn random asks and miscellaneous footage into a strategic vision that tells a compelling story.
Modern Professionals
A 30-second ad promoting the school’s graduate programs. I used a combination of stock footage and dog footage ;) Winner of the Educational Advertising Award for Best TV Spot.
Role: Producer + Shooter + Editor
Experiential Learning: Kaka‘ako with Dr. Adam Burke
I produced, shot, and edited this piece showcasing the unique learning opportunities in HPU’s own backyard.
Role: Producer + Shooter + Editor
Holiday Donor Party: Thank You Video
A one-woman band, I shot and edited this video in an 18-hour period so we could surprise and delight our donors.
Role: Producer + Shooter + Editor
Graduation Highlight Video
Another quick turnaround project, this one tugs at the heartstrings. A hui hou graduates!
Role: Producer + Shooter + Editor
Freelance & Agency
Before joining HPU’s in-house team, I produced video content in both freelance and on-staff capacities for creative agencies large and small.
Microsoft 365 Core: The New Technologists
The New Technologists program made telling a great story super easy.
Role: Editor
Northwest Indigenous News: Eighth Generation
I freelanced with the Tulalip Tribes for three years, and among many things was able to produce news segments highlighting modern indigenous culture.
Role: Producer + Editor
AWS Client Profile: Simple Bank
Customer testimonial videos for tech companies are where it all started for me.
Role: Editor
Bartell Drugs: Joe Chocolates
Who doesn’t love a food video? Especially one involving coffee. And chocolate. And my Nana’s favorite drug store.
Role: Editor
UH: Stan Sheriff Center 25th Anniversary
Producing ads and promos for a television station is a totally different kind of video production than I was used to. This one was extra fun because it incorporated existing footage, narration, and keyed on-camera talent.
Role: Producer + Editor
Mercy Housing: Impact Fundraising Video
Mercy Housing does a lot of good in local communities; it was an honor working with them several years in a row to spotlight their impact on familes.
